1. Scope and Provider
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the use of the SoloBond mobile application (“App”) and related services.

By downloading, installing, or using SoloBond, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.
2. Description of Service
SoloBond is a daily check-in app that allows users to:
- Perform a one-tap daily check-in
- Designate a trusted contact
- Trigger an automatic notification if a check-in is missed
SoloBond is a lifestyle and routine-support application.
SoloBond is not:
- An emergency service
- A medical device
- A monitoring system
- A guarantee of safety
SoloBond does not actively monitor users in real time and does not guarantee that notifications will be delivered without delay or interruption.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use SoloBond.
In jurisdictions where a lower minimum age applies (e.g., 13 under COPPA in the United States), the respective local threshold applies.
4. User Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your device
- Keeping your login credentials confidential
- Ensuring that the trusted contact information you provide is accurate
- Obtaining consent from the trusted contact before adding their email address
5. Trusted Contact Function
By adding a trusted contact, you confirm that:
- You have obtained their prior consent
- You understand that they will receive email notifications if you miss a check-in
Trusted contacts may unsubscribe at any time.
We are not responsible for any actions, inactions, or responses of the trusted contact.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use SoloBond for unlawful purposes
- Attempt to reverse engineer or manipulate the App
- Interfere with system security
- Use the trusted contact feature for harassment or surveillance
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts immediately in cases of misuse, unlawful activity, or violation of these Terms.
7. Service Availability and Offline Behavior
We strive to keep SoloBond available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical issues, or third-party provider outages.
SoloBond supports offline check-ins. Check-in data is stored locally on your device and synchronized with our server when an internet connection is available. Escalation notifications are triggered based on server-side timestamps, not local device time. Offline check-ins are only recognized once successfully synchronized.
8. Disclaimer — Not an Emergency Service
SoloBond is not a substitute for emergency services.
The App does not guarantee detection of emergencies, health incidents, or dangerous situations.
If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services (e.g., 112 in the EU, 911 in the US).
Use of SoloBond is at your own risk.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law:
We are liable without limitation for:
- Intent (Vorsatz)
- Gross negligence (grobe Fahrlässigkeit)
- Injury to life, body, or health
In cases of slight negligence, liability is limited to foreseeable damages resulting from a breach of essential contractual obligations (cardinal duties).
Liability for indirect or consequential damages is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
For free users, liability is limited in accordance with the principles above. No additional compensation is owed unless required by mandatory law.
If you have purchased Premium features, total liability is limited to the amount paid within the 12 months preceding the claim.
Mandatory consumer protection rights remain unaffected.
10. Free and Premium Tiers
Core features of SoloBond are available free of charge.
Premium features may be offered as paid subscriptions in the future.
All purchases are processed exclusively via the Apple App Store. Apple’s terms and refund policies apply. Subscription price, billing cycle, and cancellation conditions are defined in the App Store listing at the time of purchase.
11. Account Deletion and Termination
You may delete your account at any time within the App settings.
Upon deletion:
- Your data is removed from the primary database immediately
- Automated backups may retain data for up to 7 days
- Your trusted contact will be notified that the connection has been removed
- Associated trusted contact data will be deleted
We may suspend or terminate accounts in cases of serious misuse or violation of these Terms.
12. Intellectual Property
The name “SoloBond”, the App’s logo, design, code, and branding are the property of Igor Baum. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.
13. Privacy
Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your data. The Privacy Policy forms an integral part of these Terms.
14. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to outages of third-party service providers, internet disruptions, natural disasters, or governmental actions.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.
If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you also benefit from mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence.
Where legally permissible, the place of jurisdiction is Hamburg, Germany.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms if the App or legal requirements change.
Material changes will be communicated via the App or email where possible.
If you do not agree to updated Terms, you may discontinue use and delete your account.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain unaffected.
